This may be a ridiculous question. Iām using the 4 channel mixer, but I have numerous voices/sounds/drums/ plus the external io module inputs. Do I need another mixer to do more than 4 at once? Or can I use some sort of multi to combine voices or drum sounds? I think Iām gonna need a bigger case! š¤£

Multi are not to add up sound together. You can use one LFo, for instance, and plug i in a multi then you'll have 3 time this very same LFO.
For mixers it's another story. You can use different voices and plug them into the mixer to adjust level. On your MASTER modul you have 2 I/O so it's mean ou can have 2 sound from the AE that goes out (or 2 that goes in) and with the 4 I/O you can do the same but 4 time.
Exemple: You can patch a VCO directly to the I/O of the MASTER, you don't need a mixer. A mixer would be usefull only with you want to control the level of your VCO.
I use my AEM with an external mixer, so I only use the AEM MIXER to mix a saw wave with a square for instane.
The good thing with the MIXER is taht you can have 4 voices who use only 1 I/O instead of one voice => one I/O.

The 4-4 MIXER actually has 8 channels, the 'A's let you attenuate the incoming signal, and the 'B's are just mixed together without attenuation. I often use the B mix for "stacking" oscillators into one "big" sound. Otherwise you have to just get more mixers I have one main mixer that sends to the MULTIFX and then out. Then I have a submixer for my drums, another one for my synth voices and another for whatever else I might need. I'm waiting for the MIXCONSOLE which can be infinitely expanded with additional channels and this will replace most of the mixers in my system.

It took me some time before i realised there is a second mixer in the 4-4 š
I use three mixers (2x 4-4, 1x 4attmix with faders) in my 2 row case. I feel like I really need them in my workflow, and I just love mixing waveforms together! I use the first one to mix different Waves, a second one to mix different voices through different filters, and the ATTMIX to mix my percussion in and out. Mixers are a ton of fun and a bit underrated imo š

Well with the recent development, mixers and output stages seems to have a lot of attention from Robert.
I use my two MIxer 4-4 much like you, one for mixing soundsources (osc's, FMOS, GRAINS) and one for mixing various "voices", typically ending in Delay -> MultiFX -> HP amp
I ordered both the Mixconsole and the DRONX mixers (and the DRONE38).
The Mixconsole is going to change a lot as we can mix stereo (from MULTIFX) and mono voices and have external efx.

I have two mixers and ordered third (POLAMIX) - all of them different to have some variety. One is mainly for drums (4ATTMIX) with separately adjusted volume which is useful as KICK is a bit louder than 010DRUMS. Then it goes into main mixer (MIXER 4-4) from when it goes into MASTER and it's two channels go into external Behringer mixer stereo input where I mix it with the other synths I have. Main mixer has four inputs, one is for drums, two are for stereo outputs from MULTIFX (where I usualy run synth voice no1) so only one intput on main mixer is left for synth voice no2 (not connected to MULTIFX). This one usualy runs via Delay module. Sometimes it's not enough: when I want to combine vcos to create fatter sound of synth voice1 or 2 (or both). To do this I usualy use the B input of main mixer but I've noticed the sound from B output is somewhat quiter than from A output. Sometimes I use third voice and need to have another input in my main mixer, but there isn't any left, so I have to put it in Delay IN2 often via Wavefolder to make it louder as the IN2 is usualy not as loud as IN1. And for abovmentioned situations I've ordered another mixer. I think three mixers would be enough for my 4x16 case, but maybe not as I've also ordered another soundsource (Wavetable)
