yes, i have since had 2 small orders come through to me in UK without any hitch.. both under £100 ... the limit is actually £135 .. so the Cirrus i just ordered on its own at 142eu should logically stay under the threshold ( unless the £ tanks dramatically , UEFA variant x3- anyone? :] ) fingers crossed ... but then even with a vat & admin on top it will be well worth it .. of course the eu have finally started their horrible ditching of the LVCR on july1st ( oh! today ) ... ie low value consignment relief : which uk implemented on jan 1st... so even small valueless packets under €18 will now be subject to scrutiny on way into eu from ANYWHERE outside.. farcical, bureaucratical and will make nitpicky customs weasels immensely happy no doubt.. our only weapon is the word GIFT and i will be using it in it’s loosest sense on all BioTs sent out from the Hot Air dungeon ... both Ebay and Discogs in the uk have both started mandatorily collecting VAT on our behalf and spinning it like it’s a great thing .. so we can expect a complete tanking of the small end ‘used’ economy, on top of everything else here. ah well... at least we aren’t Hong Kong.. yet... contrary to the tone of my post I am actually quite happy and buoyant right now ... that can’t be all down to having a Cirrus on the way can it? wishing you all well and an oppression free future if plausible. onweirds!

It's a pretty double-edged sword I guess. (And I'm late to the party, took a loooooong time off sorry to re-open this) The most frustrating thing for me is how HARD it is to figure out where/how/when you have to apply taxes as a seller, and what to expect as a customer. It's an incredible maze of rules & fineprint that makes it impossible to know what will happen. However, I also think the 'small packet' tax is not only bad news for EU/UK/.. sellers. As much as the super-cheap AliExpress stuff subsidized by the Chinese gvt makes things like AE possible, it's also a very much 'unstable equilibrium'. Resources cannot be that cheap, local suppliers cannot possibly compete, EU suppliers have to follow way stricter safety, CE,.. rules, and making things like IC's, resistors, transistors,.. so cheap also makes throwing them away a legit business strategy. Eg. a lot of DIY-ers don't reuse there resistors from breadboard prototypes, as they cost literally less than 0.01 euros, each second spend sorting them again is actually wasted time.. On the other hand, I don't really believe the politicians behind the new taxes care about most of these points, as most of the EU Parliament seems to be made up of neo-liberal, rich types. But as you pointed out.. Luckily we still have the power of the GIFT!
