This will be huge! Superbooth has exploded on the scene and has grown in only 3 years to be the biggest and most important trade show for Synthesizers in Europe and beyond ... NAMM watch out! robertlanger will have a stand there for the second year since the inception of tangible waves. Please come and say hello! We are currently working on a plan of meetups, mini-events, and promotions to make this trip worth your while, so please keep you eye out for more news. Tickets are currently in early bird pricing unti 30th December 2018, so get one quick ... or wait and maybe you can win one in an upcoming competition (shhh... I won't give away too much for now) More info on the website: www.superbooth.com/en/Please reply to this thread if you are planning to come so we can plan some get-togethers!

Awesome! I’m planning to come and I already have a ticket This was so much fun last year. Meeting manufacturers and other like-minded people. What I especially liked was that you can go inside where it’s busy and trade-fair like, with blinking lights and weird sounds everywhere, but then, if you just want to chill with other music nerds, you can do that outside in the sun or at a DIY workshop (I did three of those last year).

I hope to go again next year.
really enjoyed it this year, its nice able to talk to manufactures/developers there, put some faces to names - and there were so many good talks and great music in the various halls and outside. ( I think we were very lucky this year with the weather... fingers crossed for 2019) oh, and I highly recommend Koma's after-show event on the Sunday, its like a small continuation in a very relaxed environment.

Make sure to book your hotel or Airbnb now, if you want to be relatively close to the FEZ venue. I stayed in Berlin-Karlshorst last year, which is only one S-Bahn stop and a 10-minute walk through a park away. Most places in the area are fully booked already.

I'll have to see if I can convince the Mrs to have long weekend in Berlin!

I am in!! Let me drop an idea: being so far a small community, why don't we share a clock and jam together?

Unfortunately I believe that you're not allowed to bring any gear into the premises unless you are an exhibitor or performing. But if enough people are interested we could arrange a meetup outside Superbooth maybe in the evening and jam then?

Cooooool! Sorry didn't know couldnt bring equipment in. Actually i was thinking about doing something like Modular on the Spot, those events organized in the US. I had the chance of meeting Rodent last year and he encouraged to expand the concept. When i saw the post of Felix NightMachines and his battery setup, it was a "that's it" moment. So , if we don't find a venue, we can always do it in the park. Let's see what the community has to say. I am looking forward to meet you all in person!

But if enough people are interested we could arrange a meetup outside Superbooth maybe in the evening and jam then? if that's true its not at all policed... I was carrying around an organelle all 3 days last year, and a laptop and bela on the day that I had the Bela Workshop... I reckon if you can get it in a rucksack you'll be absolutely fine, security never asked to look in bags as far as I could tell. more difficult I suspect is finding a spare / quiet enough room to play in, though there are some rooms at the back. perhaps robertlanger could host a workshop? we might all have to chip in a few $ but would be cool to know there is somewhere to play, and could be good for tangiblewaves to have something to attend for potential customers. another question is when... as there are events all day, and into the evening... ( can workshops be done in the morning, when generally its open only to the media? )

So Robert told me that a 2 hour slot would cost 200 Euro. If we were able to get 10 people together we could easily pay that. I'm not sure if any slots are still available or when the deadline is for reservation but I think we'll have to move fast! So who would be interested to spend 2 hours jamming on AE at the 'booth? (and willing to pay an extra 20 Euro?)

I’ll participate as well of course. Will this be a “workshop” at the workshop area or somewhere else though?

I’ll participate as well of course. Will this be a “workshop” at the worktop area or somewhere else though? I would assume that IF we get enough interest soon enough that Robert would try to register a workshop somewhere at the FEZ. Next year will be my first time at the 'booth so I'm not sure where everything is.

I booked my flights, tickets and hotel yesterday - so all ready to go I talked about this with Robert, at the moment there aren't really enough people who are keen. But it would be awesome to meet up either at the Superbooth or outside. Let's organise a meeting closer to the event.

So we won't have an "official" place to jam .. but maybe we can meet outside and have a jam at the park if the weather allows for it?
Superbooth is open for regular visitors from 1pm so how about we have a semi official meetup at 2pm at the tangible waves booth every day and then decide where to go?
This is just to meet up "in force" so we can then maybe retreat for a chat or a jam to the cafe or the gardens at the FEZ.
Otherwise please come to the booth at any time to say hello!

it might be an idea to do something perhaps before the doors open at 1pm (?) (or are you on the TW stand? as then I guess its busy with press etc.) there are quite a lot of shows/talks etc in the afternoon, different ones will be interesting to different peoples... Ive not looked at the timetable yet, but its up - www.superbooth.com/en/events.html) doh... reminds, Ive not had a look at the workshops to see if there was anything I wanted to book! anyway, I'll pop by the TW stand on thursday, and see where we go from there

Hi thetechnobear, I'll definitely be at the booth with Robert from 10am, but good thing is that we can take turns to "duck out" ... so happy to meet anytime. I must admit that this is my first time at Superbooth, so I'm not quite sure where everything is and how it all works, but if you all check in at W400 at some time during the day we can definitely arrange something. Yeah there are some awesome events and workshops happening. Maybe next year when TW has grown a bit more we can have an AE DIY workshop!

Sadly, I'm stuck on the wrong side of the Atlantic for this yet again. I did notice from the Superbooth map, though, that AE's right next door to Expert Sleepers. Maybe in a bit of lull-time, you two should compare notes on how Silent Way and the AE system can be made to play nice together; the ability to have the 0-5V ranges needed for the AE as a menu option for Silent Way (via a DC-coupled interface of some sort + a Nanobridge or two) would be super convenient. And who knows what other ideas might emerge...?

Hey Lugia, definitely on my agenda to talk to other module makers about interfacing with AE or even making AE versions of their modules! Also one of my big dreams is of course to see tangible waves and the AE Modular represented at NAMM ... we may still be a few years away from that though
